Courseflow

Courseflow is an educational technology business focused on improving K-12 education.  Courseflow’s SaaS platform, Loop, provides a suite of communication tools and an automated notification system that increases student and parent engagement while decreasing educator workload.  It integrates directly with existing legacy LMS and SIS systems for schools and school districts, automatically sending texts and emails to students, parents, teachers, and administrators.

nSight

nSight was a SaaS based hotel management platform that helped middle market hotels better manage their operations while improving revenue and reducing costs through a comprehensive information management platform. Integrated payment and reconciliation processing was deployed in late 2019 and led to rapid growth in both new customers and card payment volume, resulting in a successful exit to Fullsteam, Inc., the hotel industry’s leading provider of vertically integrated payments-based software products in August 2021.

AHP and AHP Digital

American Hometown Publishing (AHP) was a community media business with newspapers, magazines, and websites serving readers and advertisers in Florida, Oklahoma, Tennessee, Virginia, and North Carolina. AHP’s wholly-owned digital marketing services agency, AHP Digital, helped legacy media businesses nationwide accelerate their transition to digital. WEH “opportunistically” acquired AHP from a private equity sponsor in 2018 and subsequently divested the business in six separate management buy-out transactions during 2019 and 2020, creating value for both West End Holdings AND for the six management teams that are growing these assets today.

Medical Reimbursements of America

Medical Reimbursements of America (MRA) provided specialty reimbursement solutions to identify and recover additional revenue for hospitals and health systems. MRA delivered improved revenue, increased patient satisfaction, and enhanced billing compliance from complex claims related to motor vehicle accidents and workers’ compensation injuries. MRA’s Payment Integrity division provided underpayment identification and recovery for both Medicare and Managed Care claims. MRA was acquired by Boston-based Riverside Partners and was subsequently rebranded, when combined with another Riverside Partners company, Bottom Line Systems, as Revecore. Revecore was subsequently recapitalized a second time by GrowthCurve Capital in April 2022.

WPC Healthcare

WPC Healthcare was a data analytics company using machine learning to make predictions about healthcare conditions, providing early notification to providers, ultimately saving lives while decreasing costs. In September 2015, West End Holdings provide the equity capital to acquire the business from parent company Washington Publishing, the publisher and co-developer of healthcare’s original EDI standards dating back to 1975. WPC Healthcare was subsequently acquired by Intermedix, a portfolio company of Thomas H. Lee Partners, in 2017.

IXT Solutions

IXT grew out of the acquisition of an underperforming printing and mailing fulfillment business and rapidly grew into one of the nation’s leading providers of electronic billing and payment solutions for healthcare. The company’s proprietary technology delivered an integrated physical and electronic billing platform that enabled hospitals, physicians, and revenue cycle businesses to collect more revenue from patients and empower them with more convenient payment options via 24-hour access to web, email, voice and physical payment infrastructure. The business was acquired by Emdeon in 2007, which was later rebranded as Change Healthcare (NASDAQ: CHNG) in 2015.

My Office Products

MyOfficeProducts rapidly grew into the nation’s second largest independent B2B office supply dealer, generating annual revenues in excess of $125 million. The company’s 100+ sales associates served 45 markets across 17 states.  The business grew inorganically through a series of “roll-up” acquisitions engineered by WEH’s managing partner.  It was sold in 2010 to HiTouch Business Services, a full-service office productivity company with a national footprint which was ultimately purchased by Staples in June 2018.

ProClaim 

ProClaim provided reimbursement solutions that addressed the cash flow issues faced by long term healthcare providers. Nursing homes, hospitals and other healthcare organizations relied on ProClaim to streamline their operations to significantly improve cash flow.  ProClaim focused on Medicare Part B billing solutions and grew rapidly until it was sold to Gulf South Medical Supplies (NASDAQ: GSMS in November 2003.
